Nga Haerenga, The New Zealand Cycle Trail is a national project to build a network of cycle trails led by the Ministry of Tourism. View work undertaken by DOC as part of this cycleway project.
Otago Central Rail Trail - one of the original cycle trails - is part of the Nga Haerenga, The New Zealand Cycle Trail network. You can cycle and enjoy 150km of some of New Zealand's most memorable scenery and gold mining history.
