What is the plan about?
The LTPC for Aoraki/Mount Cook describes what services are provided to the Aoraki/Mount Cook community by the Department of Conservation under its 'local-body' function - services like water, rubbish disposal, sewage treatment and roading.
The plan describes how each of these activities contributes to the village and outlines planned changes over the next ten years. It also outlines the costs for the proposed levels of service for each activity.
What does this have to do with me?
Businesses in the village who pay a local-body contribution through their concession fees, will be interested in local-body activities, costs and planned changes. Community members who do not contribute financially may also have an interest in what kind of community they want to live in or on the village community and recreational facilities.
