This award recognises the achievement of organisations that have invested considerable effort and resources into conservation related initiatives.

The award is sponsored by the Department of Conservation and managed by the Tourism Industry Association on behalf of the Tourism Industry New Zealand Trust.

Who can enter

The award is open to any operator who can demonstrate an active commitment to conservation and/or display excellence in conservation interpretation.

Conservation interpretation is where information regarding your conservation activity is well presented, insightful, educational and helps build a relationship between the visitor and the environment.
