The Nelson Marlborough Conservation Board is one of 14 appointed by the Minister of Conservation. The Board has a number of functions under s30 of the National Parks Act. These functions include recommending the review or amendment of national park management plans and recommending approval of such plans by the New Zealand Conservation Authority.
