The park's central attraction is the volcanic Mt Egmont/Taranaki and its surrounding lush rainforest.
Egmont National Park contains a diverse range of vegetation. Also, 28 native bird species and 15 introduced bird species occur regularly in the park.
The Pouakai Circuit is an international standard walking track situated in the northern area of Egmont National Park, New Zealand.
