Keep your campsite tidy, minimise harm to the environment, observe local requirements and only take pets where it is permitted. Plan to leave no trace of your activity.
Campervan/motorhome users
Be responsible when emptying your campervan toilet and always use a designated dump station. View the Ministry of Tourism dump station guide.
Remember:
- Do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Unfortunately theft from car parks is common in New Zealand
- Insect repellent for wasps and sandflies
- A bag for your rubbish
- Sunscreen and a first aid kit
- Your own fuel stove and spare fuel
- Your tent!
