This short boardwalk is one of Northland's icon sites providing an outstanding experience. The track winds through a mature stand of kauri, swamp forest and associated vegetation. Interpretive panels assist with the understanding and enjoyment of this special forest ecosystem.

Getting there

The Manginangina Kauri Walk is signposted from SH10 south of Kaeo and north of Waipapa. The walk can also be reached from SH1, north of Okaihau.

Please take care when you leave the State Highway as you will be travelling on unsealed roads. The walk is 5 min drive from the Puketi Recreation Area on Waiare Rd.
